About our event

Open Arms Food Pantry and Resource Center takes pride every year to support countless households within LA County through our TurkeyTastic event by supporting families with much needed food kits, turkeys, poultry and organic produce. While we celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and loved ones many families are without food, are experiencing hardships that are unbearable and cannot purchase basic need items such a infant diapers or hygiene product.

This event is to take a moment to make families feel loved, appreciated and supported with esssentials they need to promote healthy bodies, healthy minds and lower stress.

The event takes place at our community center located in the heart of South LA at 2010 West 62nd Street LA CA 90047. It will take place from 11am to 1pm and provide turkey, food kits, basic need kits and more...

Open Arms Food Pantry has supported 80,000 families and individuals within LA County this past year and each year our impact increases within impoverished communities. Although LA County is one of the richest counties in America our cities are home to many micro neighborhoods that are living under the standard LMI of 200% or more. This leads to poverty stricken families barely making ends meet as the rents and cost of goods increase. Many residents are becoming homeless which is all to common now because of wages not matching the average cost of living in Los Angeles. Our mission and purpose is simple. We advocate for food equity to impact families and those aged. All to well these groups experience poor diets and food insecurity. All year our food pantry supports these groups as well as our two holiday events that impact hundreds of families and individuals pre-selected that truly need a helping hand. We have been there for US Military, Domestic Violence survivors, Transitional Age Youth, Aged and Families with disabled children and now we ask for your help no matter the size. We would love for you to be apart of our support this Thanksgiving Holiday.

Friend of Open Arms Food Pantry

We welcome Corporate Partners to make in-kind donations of new products to support our Thanksgiving Community event named TurkeyTastic in the heart of Los Angeles, CA. We are a community center that since 2018 has supported countless LA County residents dealing with food insecurity and lack of basic needs with free unwavering support year round. We need your help with canned goods, nonperishables, frozen turkeys, infant formula, infant diapers, training pants, toys and shoes for children.

We kindly seek monetary support to allow our charity to purchase frozen poultry and turkeys and organic vegetables and fruits for food basket assembly. Any proceeds are 100% tax deductible and this package includes exciting volunteer engagement opportunities, imprinted tote bags, and logo placement on flyer and banner placement acknowledging the presenting sponsor. This package will provide over 500 households with one turkey and food kit.

Gobbling Gobble Sponsor allows the sponsor to be hands-on with planning our TurkeyTastic Event with exciting volunteer opportunities and organization tasks that lead up to the community distribution day. This package proudly supports one turkey and food kit to 300 households. Sponsors receive acknowledgment via logo placement on flyers and branded stickers. All proceeds are 100% tax deductible.

This package allows sponsors to support the purchasing of critically needed supplies and foods that are placed within our TurkeyTastic food kits.
