With the end of Van's Warped Tour and the one off giant of Adjacent fest, there was a void left for the Alt scene of the east coast. Furthermore, with the rise of colossal events such as "When We Were Young Fest", "Riot Fest", "Oceans Calling", affordability, accessibility, and opportunity to enjoy these events have become a scarce memory. Large scale 3-Day festivals with tickets costing several hundred dollars and bringing in crowds of 60k+ people, the intimacy brought from simpler events is almost gone. Furthermore, the ability for rising artists to be discovered is becoming increasingly more challenging with every event bulking up on the most well known longest lasting artists. We're here to break the cycle.

Starting since aquiring my first guitar in kindergarten, my love for the arts have never waivered. Going through middle school and beyond starting numerous bands and playing small local shows to larger stages for hundreds, the dream was always to spread the joy of the arts all around. After attending endless festivals and concerts, I created my own events company from 2016 - 2020 hosting 150+ concerts across various states, yearly scalling festivals, and a handful of exceptionally engaging events at the NJIT Main Campus bringing the university to life. In 2020, we planned our biggest event similar to our current Type;Fest project which fell vicitm to Covid-19. Now 4 years later, we are ready to resume where we left off and fill the community with color once more. Type;Fest will be hosted under the new events company Type;Live, a sister company to Type;Sad Studios, a web and software develpoment company.
