The annual race begins in early December, with up to 30 teams participating from around the world. The race structure brings together an environment where teams from across the globe gather in the race village San Sebastian in La Gomera, Canary Islands. The atmosphere is electric as people help each other prepare for the challenge of the mighty Atlantic Ocean. All with the same objective – to take on the unique experience of crossing an ocean in a rowing boat.
Sponsorship is a harsh way of looking at supporting an event. We prefer to think of it as a partnership. We expect to work hard for your brand and to make sure that your logo on our boat gets media exposure as well as digital and vocal exposure.
Depending on the package or custom arrangement we have between us, we will have your logo on the boat, t-shirts, or website. We will have shoutouts on social media and even visit your premises for talks and/or a Q&A session. We can offer experiences in the boat for your staff, be available for media to take photos with the crew and the boat. You will get exclusive access to our media library for your own uses in corpoorate publications and promotional material.
The race will be televised, broadcast across media platforms and even have a live tracker to see the progress of us as we navigate our way across the ocean.
While we do have preset packages, we can tailor a package to suit.

Thank you for your time,
Team DeadLegz
Deadlegz formed in 2014 for our first challenge in 2015. We did the National Three Peaks Challenge, which was to climb and descend Ben Nevis, Scafell Pilke, and Mount Snowdon in 24 hours or under. We succeeded and raised over £4,000 for charity in the process.
In 2018, Deadlegz once again took another challenge. The team cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats and raised over £15,000 for charity.
In the midst of those two challenges, Deadlegz has been involved in many different local charity efforts including local festivals, events and sporting challenges.
We are out to prove that anyone is capable of extraordinary things when they have the right motivation. We are not sportsmen, we are not Olympic athletes, but we have a history of going outside out comfort zone to help those in need.
And we haven't failed yet.
The current Deadlegz team is four people. Rob and Matt, who have been in DeadLegz from the start, and two energetic newcomers, Peter and Kev, the latter of whom helps run the local festival that supports local charities and artists.
