  • About the event

Her Business: Local Women. Global Stories. is a youth-led initiative by Kandi Initiative, focused on documenting and supporting the stories of women entrepreneurs and local women-led businesses.

Her Business aims to give young people an opportunity to learn directly from women entrepreneurs while bringing greater visibility to their work and experiences. The project welcomes students interested in journalism, business, women's rights, social entrepreneurship, international affairs, and community engagement.

    Why should you sponsor?

Your donation helps turn awareness into direct action.

Kandi Initiative is a youth-led organization working to support women and girls, promote economic independence, and address issues such as period poverty and barriers faced by women in their communities.

Donations help fund practical projects rather than simply raising awareness. This can include providing menstrual products and educational materials, supporting local women and their businesses, organizing youth-led initiatives, and creating opportunities for young people to take action on issues affecting their communities.

Kandi also gives young people a way to contribute directly. Through projects such as Her Business: Local Women. Global Stories., students document and share the stories of women entrepreneurs while developing journalism, research, and digital skills.

When you donate to Kandi, you are helping young people move from talking about social issues to doing something about them, while supporting women and girls directly.

Every contribution, regardless of size, helps Kandi continue developing projects across its international network and in Japan.
