About the event
COLOSSUS 3.0 is a National Level 24-Hour Hackathon organized by Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (AICTE-recognised, VTU-affiliated, NAAC A+), Bengaluru, on 13th-14th November 2026.
It brings together student innovators and developers from engineering colleges across India to build working solutions to real-world problems, in teams of 2-4 members. It is open to UG and PG students, and inter-college teams are allowed.
Format:
- Round 1: free online screening based on an idea PPT. Registrations have crossed 1000+ individuals and 400+ teams.
- Round 2: the top 60 teams build for 24 hours on campus, then give 5-minute live pitches with a demo and Q&A to a judge panel.
Tracks: AgriTech, FinTech, Cybersecurity, HealthTech & MedTech, Hardware/IoT & Robotics, and Open Innovation.
Prize pool: Rs. 1,00,000+.
Earlier editions drew participants from 75+ colleges. Sponsors get visibility on stage, on screen and online, plus direct access to talented student builders.

Amshumalee Bhat MarakiniWe are the student organizing team of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT), Bengaluru, working under the Dean (R&D) and the Student Welfare Officer (SWO).
Dr. AIT is AICTE-recognised, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, has NBA-accredited UG programs and is NAAC A+ accredited.
COLOSSUS is our flagship national-level hackathon. This is the 3rd edition. Earlier editions brought student teams from 75+ colleges together, supported by partners such as 0x.Day, JVGlobal, Casio and Avigdor.
Our goal is to give student innovators a stage to build real solutions in 24 hours, and to connect them with companies looking for talent.
