Our Vision

Our vision is to make a better India which provides basic Health, Education, Liberty, Peace & Empowerment to every citizen.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

Basic aims and objects shall be:

1. Work for the welfare of common people through Health, Education, Liberty & Peace.
2. To identify and work alongside the economically and socially deprived, the physically and mentally challenged - starting with children, so that they become educated, skilled and aware.

Enable them to be self-reliant and enjoy a healthy, dignified and sustainable quality of life).

1. Create awareness amongst citizens for their rights and privileges.

1. Help people to fight against social evils like corruption, Dowry, Ill-treatment of citizens by government departments/officials.

1. Protection of environment and promote safe practices for preservation of eco-balance.

1. Fight against all sources of pollution like air, water, noise etc.

1. Help elderly people and senior citizens in health care, protection and legal rights.

1. Educate people on rights  about education, freedom and privileges granted under constitution.

1. Gather information under RTI act for eradication of corruption.

1. To expose malpractices adopted by educational institutions, Hospitals, Travel agents to safe guard interest of parents and general public.

1. To receive any sum or sums of money as gift or donations in cash or kind or subscriptions given to or acquired by any other means by in order to spend on fulfillment of all or any of the objects of the society.

WHAT WE DO

• Education to the handicapped, the poor and the marginalized children in rural areas, tribal villages and urban slums is a priority concern for HELPS.

Education gives empowerment in employment areas, commercial activities, health care and in fact Total Quality of Life

• We are also focusing on Women Empowerment Programmes providing adult education and vocational training to women.

• Protection of environment and promote safe practices for preservation of eco-balance.

• To work for the cause and care of disadvantaged older persons and to improve their quality of life.

HELPS  envisions a society where elderly have the Right to an active, healthy and dignified life. We are integrating our programmes and services, and consciously moving from welfare towards development and long term sustainability for seniors. We are working closely with Senior Citizen Associations and encouraging seniors to speak up for their own rights.

We are actively working as a pressure group and focusing on Elder Rights such as the Right to adequate Health Insurance, Right to Universal Pension and working towards providing elders a society with age appropriate services.

In our continuing fight against poverty, isolation and neglect of elders though we have made significant strides, but they are just a drop in the ocean.

• HELPS’s focus and sole reason for existence is the child, especially the girl child, street child and disabled child. The family of the child is the medium through which the development takes place. Organisation and sensitisation of the community is the approach through which empowerment, capacity building and social transformation are attempted.

• Nearly 40% of India's population of a billion plus lives in abject poverty. In India, we find that many are poor because of one simple reason — 'lack of regular income'.

Student Internship

 Students from various universities/ colleges/ institutes/ schools do their social internship with HELPS.

HELPS team is giving awareness, like protection of environment to students in Schools, Colleges and Institutions throughout India.  Campaigns in Mass Media are taken up with all enthusiasm
