About the event

The Haus of Performing Arts is a nonprofit in the South Bronx helping children discover
confidence, creativity, and purpose through artistic education. We blend dance, theatre, and music with mentorship and emotional learning to help every child grow both on stage and in life.

A Night in December carries that same mission into the spotlight by raising funds to expand our programs, support working families, and create spaces where Bronx youth can express themselves with pride and possibility.

Every ticket, donation, and sponsorship helps The Haus reach more families, expand creative programs, and raise the standard of arts education in the South Bronx.

With your support, we aim to:

• Reach more families by opening additional after-school seats and outreach initiatives
• Educate parents and caregivers about the services and benefits they qualify for, helping them access resources like childcare vouchers, food assistance, and family support programs
• Re-educate the community on the power of creativity as a pathway to confidence, healing, and lifelong learning
• Equip our classrooms with professional materials, including mirrors for dance, instruments, and art supplies to elevate the quality of education our children receive

What we have done for our Families:

In just one year, The Haus of Performing Arts has become a creative and reliable home for South Bronx families. A place where art, education, and community care come together.

Through dedication, partnership, and heart, we’ve:

• Helped over 60 families apply for and successfully attain childcare vouchers for free care
• Provided over 20,000 free meals throughout the school year and summer
• Partnered with five local schools to expand childcare access for working parents providing pickup, holiday watch, and half-day pickup.
• Supported children of all learning differences, including those with IEPs, through inclusive arts education

Ashley Rivera

Casimar Valles, M.S.Ed, is an educator, artist, and youth advocate dedicated to expanding access to high-quality arts education in the South Bronx. With a master’s degree in Education and extensive experience working with students of all ages, Casimar blends creative practice with evidence-based teaching to help young people build confidence, discipline, and lifelong learning skills.

As co-founder of The Haus of Performing Arts, he leads with heart, vision, and a commitment to empowering children and families through creativity and community. His work has also extended beyond the classroom—Casimar has collaborated with global brands such as Lacoste and Venus Williams, bringing The Haus dance troupe to major campaigns and events that spotlight Bronx talent on national stages.
